The Sims 3 Pets is a hugely anticipated expansion to the famous Sims series. The Sims 3 Pets includes many new animals such as horses, cats, dogs, snakes, unicorns, lizards, deer, rodents, birds and turtles. See the Pet Breeds page for a list of all the animals in the game!
With The Sims 3 Pets the player creates their pet in a similar fashion to the ‘Create A Sim’ feature with many customization abilities. There’s also over a hundred breeds of dogs and cats in The Sims 3 Pets. Players may have a poodle with short hair, or you may also have a Poodle with Dalmatian spots!
Needs in The Sims 3 Pets
In The Sims 3 Pets every pet will have its own special needs. Unicorns, if found, in the game are magical and can be added to a sims household. They can set things on fire, teleport, curse or bless sims. They can breed with both unicorns and horses in The Sims 3 Pets. Dogs can swim in swimming pools, but they can not drown, as pets can only die by old age. A user can have up to 6 pets in one household in The Sims 3 Pets. This also extends the maximum amount of sims in a household from 8 to 10. Pets also comes with wildlife, but they cannot be added to households in The Sims 3 Pets.
Quests in The Sims 3 Pets
Pets can now be controlled similar to sims and have their own skills, quests and interactions in The Sims 3 Pets. Pets do not have jobs, but they can make money by winning a contest or finding treasure. In The Sims 3 Pets there are many ways for players to interact with their pets – they can use their horses as a form of transportation. Sims can also use laser pointers for playing with cats and they can teach dogs tricks. Sims can also adopt and bathe pets. Cats and dogs can learn to hunt, dogs can learn to locate collectibles, and players can adopt horses and train them to jump and run in races in The Sims 3 Pets. The collectables can be sold or stored in terrariums.
Love in The Sims 3 Pets
In The Sims 3 Pets, pets can meet, fall in love and reproduce. They can try to have puppies, kittens, or foals – although no cross-species breeding is allowed – and genetics would be passed down to pet offspring. They will also have family trees in The Sims 3 Pets.
